Since I will be getting to know your child rather well this year, it is only fair that you have a chance to learn a little about me.
I received my training at Eastern University in Pennsylvania, with certifications in elementary education, early childhood education, and special education. I have taught pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and First Grade for over 20 years, in Pennsylvania and Delaware. This is my fifth year at Clayton Elementary School, and I love our school!
I live in Dover with my husband, Bud, and our cat, Shakespeare. Our two grown daughters (and one son-in-law) live in nearby states. In my free time I enjoy traveling, camping, hiking, biking, music, and cooking. My summer included an awesome 5-week cross-country road trip, in which we visited 26 National Park sites!
I love the enthusiasm and energy of Kindergarten children! Although they can tire me out, they also give me plenty of opportunities for exploration and creativity. I look forward to many wonderful learning adventures with my new class!
